The professional offer

The RSPP carries out the crucial function of technical consultancy and support to the Employer in matters of health and safety at work, as required by Legislative Decree 81/2008.

Consultation and Periodic Meeting:

• Participate in consultations regarding the protection of health and safety in the workplace.
• Attend the annual periodic meeting in companies with more than 16 employees.

Training and Information:

• Propose information and training programs for workers, managers and supervisors.
• Provide workers with information on specific risks and the measures adopted.

Prevention and Protection Measures:

• Identify and propose measures for the safety and healthiness of working environments, in compliance with current legislation.
• Develop, in collaboration with the Employer, the safety procedures for the various company activities.

Planning and Control:

• Contribute to the planning, management and control of technical, organizational and procedural security measures.

In summary, the RSPP and the coordinated Prevention and Protection Service are responsible for identifying the risk factors and dangers present in the work environment, participating in the risk assessment and collaborating in the drafting of the Risk Assessment Document (DVR) which is a non-delegable obligation of the Employer. In essence, the RSPP acts as an expert and consultant to the Employer but does not have autonomous decision-making powers in terms of spending and company organisation. The ultimate responsibility for the adoption and implementation of safety measures remains with the Employer.
